Abelito's birthday party leads to sexual assault allegations and legal action

A birthday celebration for Mexican influencer Abel Sáenz, known as Abelito, has escalated into a legal and social controversy following multiple incidents at a nightclub in Mexico City.

Videos circulating on social media show a physical altercation between influencers Naim Darrechi and Aarón Mercury. Additionally, Abelito expressed outrage over the behavior of uninvited guests, stating he does not approve of disrespect toward his family.

The situation intensified when Cristina Romero Álvarez, Abelito’s mother, announced she is pursuing legal action for alleged sexual assault. She claims she was subjected to non-consensual touching and physical contact by Naim Darrechi (Spanish), Agustín Fernández (Argentine), and an unidentified Mexican individual.

Agustín Fernández issued a public apology to the family, acknowledging that his comments regarding the incident were inappropriate. Naim Darrechi also offered apologies via social media, though his statements regarding the presence of consent have been contested by the victim's legal representation.
