Najee Harris signs one-year deal with New York Giants
Running back Najee Harris has joined the New York Giants on a one-year, veteran-minimum contract worth $1.215 million with no guaranteed money. The low cost reflects the medical risks associated with his recent injury history, specifically a torn Achilles tendon suffered while playing for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025.
Recent official photos of Harris have drawn attention from fans due to visible scarring around his left eye. This scarring appears to correlate with a reported fireworks accident in July 2025, which resulted in a superficial eye injury requiring medical treatment at John Muir Hospital.
Harris, who recorded four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is expected to serve as an early-down and short-yardage option for the Giants. He joins a backfield that includes Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
