Nakano Broadway luxury watch theft involves 200 million yen loss

Two men stole four luxury watches worth approximately 200 million yen from a shop in Nakano Broadway, Tokyo, in a rapid 10-second heist. The suspects used hammers to smash display cases, seizing three Richard Mille watches and one Patek Philippe watch.

Witnesses and surveillance footage indicate a planned operation. One suspect fled on foot while the other used a rented electric kickboard. The pair reportedly met up approximately 350 meters from the scene, where they discarded the kickboard and changed clothes to evade detection. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the theft.

In separate incidents in Japan, a 50-year-old part-time worker in Hyogo Prefecture was arrested for allegedly stealing 4 million yen from a supermarket safe and faking a robbery to cover her financial difficulties. Additionally, a 28-year-old man was arrested in Kobe for trespassing into a woman's room in a shared house, claiming he entered the wrong room while sleepwalking.
