Nakhon Ratchasima warehouse raid seizes 2 million Baht in contraband

Authorities in Nakhon Ratchasima conducted a joint raid on a warehouse used to distribute contraband goods. The operation was carried out by over 40 officers from the Chong Chom Customs Office and the Excise Department following undercover surveillance.

Officers seized more than 10,000 items, including illegal cigarettes, e-cigarettes, illicit alcohol, and fireworks, with an estimated total value of approximately 2,000,000 Baht. The investigation revealed that the site was being used as a distribution hub for local residents and shops.

Reports indicate that the operation targeted a location where a 70-year-old woman operated a fried chicken stall as a front for the illegal activities. The seizure aims to prevent tax evasion and mitigate public safety risks associated with unregulated fireworks and prohibited electronic cigarettes.
