Namsskogan bus accident: One German citizen confirmed dead

A German citizen has died following a bus accident on the E6 highway in Namsskogan, Trøndelag. The incident occurred on August 8 when a German tourist bus carrying 34 people veered off the road and overturned.

Eleven passengers were transported to various hospitals, including Namsos, Levanger, and St. Olavs hospital in Trondheim. Police have confirmed that one of the injured individuals passed away at St. Olavs hospital. Acting investigation leader Gunn Astrid Øfsti stated that it is currently too early to determine the exact connection between the death and the accident.

The bus driver has had their license revoked and is currently a suspect in the investigation. Authorities are working through various theories and awaiting results from on-site investigations.
