German tourist bus accident in Trøndelag
Overview
On August 8, a German tourist bus carrying approximately 34 passengers overturned after veering off the E6 highway in Namsskogan, Trøndelag. While emergency services initially reported no critical injuries, eleven people were transported to hospitals, and Sykehuset Namsos was placed on red alert.
By August 26, authorities confirmed that one German citizen had died at St. Olavs hospital. Investigation leader Gunn Astrid Øfsti noted it was too early to determine the exact connection between the death and the accident. The bus driver has had their license revoked and is currently a suspect in the ongoing investigation.
