Nana Akua Addo and husband issue conflicting statements over viral domestic dispute videos

Actress and fashion influencer Nana Akua Addo has addressed the circulation of viral videos and photos depicting a domestic dispute involving her and her children. Through her lawyers, Addo stated that the footage was leaked without her consent and expressed serious privacy concerns, particularly regarding the inclusion of a minor child. She has appealed to media outlets to stop sharing the material to protect her family’s wellbeing, noting that the matter is currently sub judice.

In response to the allegations, Harold Duodu Norman, Addo’s husband, has denied the claims of assault. His legal team asserts that the injury visible in the footage—an injury to Addo’s lip—actually occurred five years ago in 2021. They claim the injury was sustained when Addo allegedly attempted to stab Norman with a knife, and he used a wooden-clad dressing mirror to shield himself, causing the mirror to shatter and a piece to strike her lip.

The legal team for Norman alleges that the resurfacing of these old videos is an attempt to influence public opinion during ongoing legal proceedings. The matter is currently being investigated by the Ghana Police Service’s Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) and is also the subject of a civil case in court.
