Nandan Nilekani and other prominent figures flagged in Karnataka electoral roll revision

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has included several prominent individuals in a discrepancy list during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Karnataka. Among those identified are Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani and his family, as well as Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and Kannada actor Shivarajkumar.

Nandan Nilekani, his wife Rohini, and their children Janhvi and Nihar have been classified as ‘Unmapped with last SIR,’ indicating their names were not located in the 2002 electoral rolls. This status may require the family to provide identity and residency documents to confirm their eligibility for voting in the BTM Layout constituency.

Other notable figures appearing in the discrepancy reports include scientist Professor CNR Rao, though the ECI clarified that no formal notice had been issued to him following confusion over a typographical mismatch in his name. The revision process aims to ensure all voter registrations align with current records.
