NANS inspects Kano Northern Bypass and federal roads

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has concluded a tour of federal road projects across North-West Nigeria, emphasizing that road infrastructure is a critical component of educational access and student welfare.

During the inspection, NANS President Afeez Akinteye highlighted the Kano Northern Bypass as a landmark project. The 69.4-kilometre dual carriageway, which includes three flyovers and seven bridges, is expected to ease transportation difficulties by connecting 10 tertiary institutions across the region, including routes through Katsina and Zamfara states.

The association inspected several other major routes, including the Kano-Kwanar Danja-Hadejia Road, the Kano-Maiduguri Road, and the Kano-Katsina Road. NANS leaders commended the Ministry of Works for the project's progress, noting that improved road quality is essential for the safety and mobility of students and commuters in the North-West.
