Nantou County promotes tea culture and sustainable tourism in Japan and at upcoming World Tea Expo
Nantou County is expanding its international tourism presence by participating in Tourism EXPO Japan 2026. Working alongside the Tourism Administration, the county aims to promote deep travel experiences to Japanese tourists, focusing on tea culture, forest ecology, and sustainable tourism through the Nantou Sustainable Tourism (NSTC) initiative.
Simultaneously, the 16th Nantou World Tea Expo is scheduled to take place from October 3 to 11 at Zhongxing New Village. The event will feature 35 themed pavilions, over 200 exhibition stalls, and international tea culture showcases from regions including Persia, Japan, India, and Tibet. The expo emphasizes smart agriculture, low-carbon production, and local industry integration, offering various activities such as large-scale tea ceremonies and tea-country excursions across five different routes.
