Nantou County undergoes Ministry of Labor safety inspection

The Nantou County Government is undergoing an on-site inspection by the Ministry of Labor regarding occupational safety and health standards. The evaluation focuses on the county’s framework for promoting safety across various agencies, protection measures for high-risk operations, prevention of occupational accidents, and the protection of workers' mental and physical health.

To support its workforce, the county provides health checkup subsidies of 4,500 TWD every two years for contract workers aged 40 and above, as well as official leave. The government aims to integrate resources across departments to address safety management challenges in remote areas, construction sites, and small-to-medium enterprises, working closely with the central government to build a comprehensive workplace safety network.
