Napa Valley and Porto regions enter annual wine harvest seasons

Wine regions in Napa Valley and the areas surrounding Porto are entering their annual harvest seasons, characterized by intensive labor and traditional celebrations.

In Napa Valley, wineries such as V. Sattui Winery and PEJU Winery host seasonal events. V. Sattui Winery, established in its current location in 1975, holds a Crush Party on October 16, 2026, featuring grape stomping and wine sampling. PEJU Winery, a certified organic operation, hosts a Harvest Festival and Grape Stomp in September.

In the Douro and Vinhos Verdes regions near Porto, the harvest, known as vindima, is a deeply rooted period of work and family tradition. The season involves the manual picking, carrying, and sorting of grapes, with the pace of work dictated by changing weather conditions.
