Naples authorities seize over 2,300 counterfeit SSC Napoli jerseys

The Guardia di Finanza has seized 2,338 counterfeit SSC Napoli jerseys in Naples. The operation targeted an individual using TikTok to advertise fake versions of the club's special centenary commemorative kits.

Investigators first discovered 230 counterfeit items in the suspect's vehicle following an investigation into social media advertisements. A subsequent search of the individual's residence uncovered an additional 2,108 shirts stored in a garage.

The counterfeit products were noted for their high level of detail, accurately replicating sponsors, labels, and the club's centenary symbols. To further deceive consumers, the jerseys featured labels equipped with NFC technology that, when scanned by a smartphone, redirected users to the official SSC Napoli website to create an illusion of authenticity. The suspect has been reported to judicial authorities for possession of counterfeit goods intended for sale and receiving stolen goods.
