Counterfeit SSC Napoli merchandise seizure in Naples

Overview

The Guardia di Finanza in Naples seized 2,338 counterfeit SSC Napoli jerseys. The operation targeted an individual who used TikTok to advertise fake versions of the club’s special centenary commemorative kits.

Investigators initially discovered 230 counterfeit items in a suspect’s vehicle following an investigation into social media advertisements. A subsequent search of the individual’s residence uncovered an additional 2,108 shirts stored in a garage.

The counterfeit products were noted for their high level of detail, accurately replicating sponsors, labels, and the club’s centenary symbols. To further deceive consumers, the jerseys featured labels equipped with NFC technology that, when scanned by a smartphone, redirected users to the official SSC Napoli website to create an illusion of authenticity. The suspect has been reported to judicial authorities for possession of counterfeit goods intended for sale and receiving stolen goods.
