Naples authorities seize thousands of counterfeit SSC Napoli jerseys

Authorities in Naples have seized 2,338 counterfeit SSC Napoli football shirts. The operation, conducted by the Guardia di Finanza, targeted an individual using TikTok to promote the sale of fake jerseys produced for the club's centenary.

The counterfeit items were highly detailed, accurately replicating sponsors, labels, and the club's centenary branding. To further deceive consumers, the shirts featured NFC tags that, when scanned by a smartphone, redirected users to the official SSC Napoli website to mimic authenticity.

Following an investigation into the suspect's social media activity and a subsequent vehicle search, officers recovered over 2,100 items stored in a garage at the individual's residence. The Italian citizen involved has been reported to the judicial authorities.
