Naples police identify suspect in Vomero purse snatching

Authorities in Naples have identified and charged a 48-year-old man following a daytime purse snatching in the Vomero district. The incident occurred on Via Santo Stefano around 3:00 PM when the suspect approached a woman alone near a garage, grabbed her bag, and fled on a scooter.

Investigators used local surveillance footage to reconstruct the suspect's route and identify him based on his helmet, clothing, and vehicle. Carabinieri officers located the man at his residence in the Traiano district, where they recovered the clothing worn during the theft and identified the scooter used in the crime.
