Naples TikTok-famous cornetteria Cip&Ciop suspended over illegal labor and hygiene breaches

The popular Naples cornetteria Cip&Ciop, famed on TikTok, was ordered to halt operations after a joint inspection by Carabinieri and the local health authority (ASL Napoli). Inspectors identified two undeclared workers and imposed fines of roughly €36,000 plus additional administrative penalties of €24,000 and €5,000.

Health officials also recorded three serious hygiene non‑conformities, seized 450 kg of food, and required the shop to install a full‑height glass barrier separating the preparation area from the public space. The owner has been charged, and the venue posted on Instagram that the suspension is temporary while it works to meet the authorities’ requirements.
