Napoli director Giovanni Manna discusses transfer market activity

Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has commented on the club’s recent transfer market activities, specifically regarding the acquisition of Mario Gila by AC Milan. Manna revealed that Napoli had a serious interest in the Spanish defender during the summer transfer window, describing the situation as “golosa” (tempting). However, he noted that Milan acted quickly to secure the player, preventing Napoli from completing the deal.

Manna further explained that following injuries to players like Buongiorno, the club had to pivot its market strategy, eventually leading to the acquisition of Badiashile to meet their defensive requirements.
