SSC Napoli transfer strategy and market activity

Overview

Napoli Sporting Director Giovanni Manna has provided details regarding the club’s recent transfer window and strategic direction. Manna identified Scott McTominay as a primary transfer success and discussed the acquisitions of players including Buongiorno, Spinazzola, and Lukaku.

Manna described his role as a “problem solver” tasked with supporting coaching staff and managing club dynamics. He also addressed the club’s pursuit of defender Mario Gila, noting that while the opportunity was “golosa” (tempting), AC Milan acted more quickly to secure the player. Following injuries to players such as Buongiorno, the club adjusted its strategy to acquire Badiashile to address defensive needs.
