Napoli close to signing Boca Juniors forward Exequiel Zeballos
Napoli have identified Boca Juniors winger Exequiel Zeballos as a priority signing. The 24‑year‑old Argentine has reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Italian club and has turned down a lucrative five‑year offer from CSKA Moscow to join Napoli.
Boca Juniors are demanding a transfer fee close to €10 million. The deal cannot be completed until Napoli finalise outgoing transfers to free up both squad space and budget, with names such as Noa Lang mentioned as potential departures. Zeballos’ current contract with Boca runs until December 2026, and the player has publicly stated he will only move to Napoli.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the player’s intent, while Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has described Zeballos as a versatile attacker who can operate on either flank. The transfer is still pending an agreement between the two clubs, but all indications point to a move before the summer window closes.
