Napoli midfielder Frank Anguissa targets return amid contract uncertainty

Napoli midfielder Frank Anguissa is working toward a return to action following muscular issues that caused him to miss recent matches against Arsenal and Bologna. There is cautious optimism that he may be available for the upcoming away fixture against Fiorentina at the Franchi stadium.

Parallel to his physical recovery, Anguissa’s professional future at the club remains uncertain. Reports indicate that the Cameroonian midfielder requested a transfer prior to the start of the season, though no serious offers materialized at that time. Furthermore, negotiations regarding a contract extension have stalled due to disagreements over salary. With his current contract set to expire in 2027, the club faces a decision by January to either secure a renewal or risk losing him for free in the future.
