Napoli weighs €20 million sale of midfielder Anguissa amid Allegri's new era

Napoli are assessing a transfer for Cameroonian midfielder André‑Frank Zambo Anguissa as the club prepares for the upcoming season under new coach Massimiliano Allegri. Anguissa’s agents have asked the club for an official valuation, reportedly around €20 million, with his contract running until June 2027. The club’s recent season was hampered by a long‑term muscle injury that limited his appearances, prompting both sides to consider a possible departure.

The Italian daily Il Mattino reported that Napoli are also scouting replacements, naming Flamengo’s 2003‑born midfielder Araújo as a potential target. Araújo’s versatility mirrors Anguissa’s style, and Flamengo is said to demand a similar fee, though negotiations could lower the price. Other names mentioned include Milan’s Adrien Rabiot and Celtic’s Arne Engels, but the focus on a young Brazilian suggests Napoli may prefer a long‑term prospect over an established player.
