NASA seeks state partners to host new United States Space Academy

NASA has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify states interested in hosting and sponsoring the newly proposed United States Space Academy. This move follows an Executive Order aimed at establishing the institution to develop the nation’s aerospace workforce and leadership.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman recently chaired the first meeting of the Presidential Commission on the United States Space Academy. The commission is currently determining the academy’s governance, curriculum, service commitments, and implementation strategies. Key participants in the collaborative discussions included U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Director of the National Economic Council Kevin Hassett, and Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink.
