This report will outline governance, curriculum, accreditation, and potential locations, as well as eligibility requirements.

During the announcement, the President also presented the Congressional Space Medal of Honor to the Artemis II crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen—for their historic lunar mission. Additionally, NASA has begun work on a nuclear-powered interplanetary spacecraft, with a projected Mars mission launch in 2028.

In a related development regarding space leadership pipelines, the U.S. Space Force has selected four enlisted Guardians from Space Delta 15 and the National Space Defense Center to commission as officers. These individuals—Tech. Sgt. Caleb Lynch, Sgt. David Palmer, Spc. 4 Jesse Coppedge, and Spc. 4 William McLaughlin—were chosen through competitive programs.
