NASA to host Instagram live with Artemis‑III astronauts on June 9

NASA is accelerating preparations for the Artemis‑III demonstration mission, which aims to test crew transfer and docking between the Orion spacecraft and commercial lunar landers. As part of the buildup, the agency will hold an Instagram Live event on 9 June at 11 a.m. EDT (15:00 UTC) to introduce the selected astronauts and discuss mission plans and future lunar landing goals.

The livestream will showcase details on the Space Launch System rocket launch, the Orion spacecraft’s low‑Earth‑orbit operations, and the planned rendezvous with landers from SpaceX or Blue Origin. NASA says the successful integration of Orion with commercial landers is a critical step toward landing humans on the Moon in future Artemis flights.
