NASCAR Clash to Return to Daytona Oval for 2027 Season-Opening Race
NASCAR’s exhibition event, The Clash, will move back to the Daytona International Speedway oval on Saturday, Feb. 13 2027, ending a six‑year period at alternate venues such as the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Bowman Gray Stadium. The race will serve as the season‑opening contest and the first event of Speedweeks, preceding the Daytona 500 on Feb. 21 and occurring the day before Super Bowl LXI.
The 2027 Clash will be the first time the oval hosts the race since 2020 and the first time at the facility since the 2021 road‑course version. Final negotiations with a new title sponsor are delaying the official announcement, but teams have already begun preparing additional superspeedway cars for the event. Legacy Motor Club driver Erik Jones, a 2020 Clash winner, expressed enthusiasm for the return to Daytona.
