NASCAR honors Kyle Busch legacy with new trophy

Kyle Busch passed away at age 41 following complications from bacterial pneumonia that progressed into sepsis. To honor his legacy, the track is introducing the ‘Rowdy Trophy,’ which will be presented to the winner of the Enjoy Illinois 300. The trophy features the Gateway Arch and references to Busch’s racing numbers.

In social media posts, Samantha Busch reflected on the significance of the venue, noting it was the site of Kyle’s final Cup Series victory in 2023. She shared memories of the family celebrating at the track and expressed that seeing the sport continue to honor his memory means everything to her.
