NASCAR México and Argentine racing conclude regular seasons
The 2026 regular season for NASCAR México Series has concluded, moving into the championship phase known as ‘The Chase’. Drivers Rubén García Jr. and Max Gutiérrez of the Canel’s team have secured their spots in the postseason. García Jr. enters the final stage as the championship leader, following a consistent season in the #88 car. The playoff format has been modified to a four-race series in Monterrey, Aguascalientes, Yucatán, and Mexico City, where the champion will be determined by total accumulated points without eliminations.
In Argentine touring car racing, the regular season statistics show Chevrolet as the most successful manufacturer with four wins, while Toyota was the only brand without a victory, despite Matías Rossi securing a second-place finish and a pole position. In contrast, Torino failed to achieve any wins or pole positions during the season. The regular stage featured a diverse field of winners, with drivers such as Matías Rossi, Juan Tomás Catalán Magni, Mauricio Lambiris, and Nicolás Bonelli among those who secured multiple victories.
