NasDem party dismisses Southeast Sulawesi DPRD Chairman

The NasDem Party Central Leadership Board has officially dismissed La Ode Tariala from party membership. This decision includes a request to initiate the interim replacement (PAW) process for his position as the Chairman of the Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).

On October 26, 2026, the NasDem Southeast Sulawesi Regional Leadership Board delivered the dismissal decree to the DPRD leadership. Muttaqin Siddiq, Deputy Chairman of the NasDem Southeast Sulawesi Regional Leadership Board, stated that the dismissal involves the revocation of Tariala’s membership card and that his rights and authorities as a party member have ceased.

The party cited violations of internal rules as the reason for the dismissal, noting that Tariala failed to follow previous party decisions regarding his position. The regional leadership has urged the DPRD to follow legal procedures for the replacement process, noting that the DPRD has seven days to forward the request to the General Elections Commission (KPU), which then has five days to process the necessary documents.
