Nashville Sam's Club employee killed by stray bullet

A Frito-Lay employee was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a stray bullet while working at a Sam's Club in Nashville, Tennessee.

The victim, identified as 55-year-old Paris Carlock of Murfreesboro, was conducting product inventory in the chip aisle when the incident occurred. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a bullet passed through a metal side wall of the warehouse store on the 1300-block of Antioch Pike at approximately 4 a.m. ET.

Police believe the gunfire may be connected to an argument at Lavou Lounge, a nearby bar. Security had reportedly removed individuals from the lounge, who then continued to argue outside. The Metro Nashville Police Department Homicide Unit has launched an investigation into the shooting.
