Nasser Hussain criticizes Pakistan cricket ahead of Lord’s Test

Former England captain Nasser Hussain has issued a harsh critique of the Pakistan cricket team ahead of the second Test at Lord’s. Speaking on Sky Sports, Hussain argued that the team has lost the unpredictability and fighting spirit that previously defined them.

Following a heavy defeat at Headingley, where England won by an innings and 103 runs, Hussain described the performance as lacking pace, risk, flair, and passion. He specifically challenged Babar Azam’s recent assertions that the team possesses the ability to fight back, stating, “They don’t fight back anymore.”

Hussain also addressed the perceived decline in the competitiveness of Pakistan-India fixtures, noting that recent ICC matchups have become increasingly one-sided. He further highlighted Pakistan’s historical struggles with away form in the longest format of the game, suggesting the squad needs a significant catalyst to rebuild its confidence.
