Natal City Hall announces public notice for new veterinary hospital

The City Hall of Natal has issued a public notice to select a non-profit organization to implement and operate a new Public Veterinary Hospital in the city's North Zone. The initiative, managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Urbanism (Semurb), aims to expand public veterinary services and provide an alternative to the existing unit in Ribeira.

The new facility will serve dogs and cats, offering consultations, surgical procedures, outpatient treatments, laboratory exams, hospitalization, and emergency care. Priority will be given to animals belonging to low-income individuals and registered animal protectors. The selected organization will be responsible for providing all necessary infrastructure, including equipment, furniture, medication, and professional staff.

The estimated investment for a 12-month partnership is approximately R$ 5 million. Interested organizations must submit proposals by October 28. Once a partnership agreement is signed, the selected entity will have up to 30 days to begin operations.
