Banco Desio allocates 500 million euros to support Italian SMEs

Banco Desio has announced an integrated funding package of 500 million euros dedicated to supporting Italian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The initiative aims to provide liquidity and working capital to assist with the autumn production recovery, particularly as the market continues to be impacted by high energy costs.

The intervention is scheduled to cover the final four months of 2026, spanning from September to December. To ensure business sustainability and flexibility, the financing lines are structured with durations of up to 36 months and include modular repayment plans. Additionally, businesses may access an initial grace period of up to six months to facilitate immediate cash flow management.

Stefano Vittorio Kuhn, CEO of Banco Desio, stated that the plan is designed to provide rapid responses to supply chain challenges and ensure operational continuity for the SME sector, which the bank views as a fundamental driver of the local economies in which it operates.
