National Falcons Center auction in Riyadh exceeds 33 million riyals in sales

The National Falcons Center concluded its International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction in Malham, north of Riyadh. Held from August 5 to 25, the event featured participation from over 90 breeding farms representing 24 countries.

More than 2,200 falcons were sold during the three-week event, generating total sales exceeding 33 million riyals. One of the most notable transactions involved the sale of a ‘Mathlouth Gyr’ falcon for 1.3 million riyals, marking it as the most expensive falcon sold in this session and the second most expensive in the auction's history.

Talal bin Abdulaziz Al-Shumaisi, CEO of the National Falcons Center, noted that the auction serves as an international hub for producers and falconers, facilitating trade and knowledge exchange. The event included workshops on falconry regulations, breeding center licensing, and anti-doping measures, alongside educational programs for youth and families.
