Ho Chi Minh City launches major infrastructure projects worth 181 trillion VND

Ho Chi Minh City has launched 11 major infrastructure, urban, and social welfare projects with a total investment of approximately 181,412 billion VND to mark the 81st National Day. Key transportation projects include the expansion of National Highway 13, which will be widened to 10-14 lanes and is expected to be completed by 2028, and the expansion of National Highway 1, which aims to increase capacity to 10-12 lanes.

In addition to transport, the city is undertaking significant urban renovation in the Ma Lang and Cho Ga - Gao areas, with an investment of approximately 16,369 billion VND to improve living conditions and provide on-site resettlement. The city is also initiating several social housing projects and environmental improvement works.

Simultaneously, Hanoi has launched major national railway projects, including the East Ring Railway (Ngoc Hoi - Kim Son) and the relocation of the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway section (Phu Xuyen - Ngoc Hoi), with a combined investment exceeding 38,500 billion VND to enhance regional connectivity and urban development.
