National Library of Greece to host ‘Synastria’ art and astronomy exhibition

The multidimensional cultural exhibition ‘Synastria’ will be hosted at the National Library of Greece, located within the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, from September 16 to October 4, 2026. Conceived by Lefteris Moysiadis and curated by Kostas Prapglo, the exhibition explores the connections between humanity and the celestial bodies through art, poetry, and scientific observation.

The event features works by 20 visual artists inspired by planets and constellations, alongside contributions from 13 contemporary Greek poets. The exhibition is complemented by rare manuscripts and books on cosmography, astronomy, and astrology from the National Library’s special collections.

Parallel activities will take place across several Athenian institutions, including stargazing sessions at the National Observatory of Athens, space flight simulations at the Eugenides Foundation Planetarium, and a poetic evening under the full moon at the Arsakeio Stoas.
