National Nutrition Agency develops rating app for free meal program

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is developing a rating application for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. This tool will allow school principals and teachers to evaluate the services provided by Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) using a scale of 1 to 5. The evaluation will focus on aspects such as distribution punctuality and the quality and suitability of the menus provided to students.

In Ciamis, the SPPG De La Tina, managed by the Garuda Galuh Ciamis Foundation, is implementing multi-layered supervision to ensure quality from the kitchen to distribution. The unit currently serves 2,347 beneficiaries, including students, toddlers, breastfeeding mothers, and pregnant women. To address specific health needs, menus are adjusted for individuals with stunting or food allergies, such as increasing protein intake or substituting ingredients with equivalent nutritional value.
