National Police dismantle transnational drug networks in major seizure

The National Police have dismantled three transnational criminal networks involved in smuggling and illicit drug trafficking. The operations led to the seizure of approximately 30 kilograms of cocaine and over 53 kilograms of cannabis resin, both sourced from Morocco.

In Blida, the central anti-drug trafficking unit recovered 29.62 kilograms of cocaine hidden within a truck. Separately, the regional unit in Tlemcen intercepted two shipments of cannabis resin. The crackdown resulted in the arrest of 16 individuals and the recovery of 11 vehicles. The suspects have been presented before judicial authorities in Sidi M'Hamed, Bab El Ass, and Maghnia.
