National Rally of Independents addresses post-election political phase

Mohammed Chouki, President of the National Council of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), addressed the party's direction following the recent elections during an extraordinary session in Rabat. Chouki emphasized that the party is entering a new political phase and must move past the election results to focus on national interest and institutional stability.

Acknowledging a decline in the party's performance compared to previous elections, Chouki called for a period of self-reflection, reviewing necessary processes, and strengthening organizational tools to better serve citizens. He maintained that despite the results, the RNI remains a fundamental and influential force within the national political landscape due to its widespread presence across the kingdom.

Reflecting on the past five years of government administration, Chouki noted the significant national and international challenges faced during that period. While praising the leadership of the Head of Government and the work of RNI ministers, he admitted that some reforms require more time and continued effort across successive governments. He also expressed support for the increasing role of women in decision-making positions, noting the royal trust placed in the Head of Government tasked with forming the new administration.
