National Science & Maths Quiz 2026: Schools advance to One-Eighth stage

Several schools have advanced to the One-Eighth stage of the 2026 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) following intense preliminary rounds.

Wesley Girls' High School secured its place by defeating Simms SHS and Nkwatia Presby SHS. The Cape Coast-based school dominated multiple rounds, including a perfect score in the Star Problem of the Day and a flawless True/False round. They earned a total of GH¢3,700 in various prizes during the contest.

In another closely contested match, Wesley High School of Bekwai narrowly defeated Techiman SHS with a one-point margin, finishing with 38 points to Techiman's 37. Esaase Bontefufuo SHTS placed third in that heat.

Winneba Secondary School also qualified for the next stage after a two-point victory over Fijai SHS. Winneba finished with 44 points to Fijai's 42, while Enyan Denkyira SHTS completed the round in third place.
