National Security Guard launches first women's commando course

The National Security Guard (NSG) Training Academy in Manesar has launched the first Mahila Commando Conversion Course (MCCC). This pioneering 12-week intensive training program is designed for women personnel drawn from State Police Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

The curriculum focuses on developing specialized counter-terrorism capabilities, including tactical intervention, weapons handling, marksmanship, hostage rescue, and rigorous physical conditioning. The initiative aims to create a pool of physically robust and technically proficient women commandos capable of operating in demanding security environments.

By extending specialized expertise to women from various security forces, the NSG intends to strengthen India’s counter-terrorism architecture, promote professional standards, and improve interoperability among different security agencies.
