National Sports Festival pre-period competitions begin in Aomori

Preparations are underway for the 80th National Sports Festival, known as the ‘Ao no Kirameki Aomori Kokuspo’. Pre-period competitions are scheduled to begin on September 3 in Aomori City and Hirosaki City, spanning 11 days across 13 different sporting disciplines.

In anticipation of the event, the Tochigi Prefecture delegation held a formal send-off ceremony in Utsunomiya. Approximately 200 athletes and officials attended the ceremony to pledge their commitment to competing in the upcoming games.
