NATO and emergency services conduct joint exercises in Romania and Moldova

In Romania, approximately 1,300 Romanian and foreign soldiers are participating in a NATO Battle Group exercise at the “Getica” National Joint Training Center in Cincu. The drill involves over 300 combat vehicles, including Leclerc and Ariete main battle tanks, as well as infantry and engineer units. The tactical scenario focuses on defending the Cincu region against an enemy advancing from the south and east, testing the coordination and readiness of multinational structures.

Simultaneously, emergency responders from Romania and the Republic of Moldova are conducting joint training sessions under the C-TRAINED project. Funded largely by European funds, this initiative aims to synchronize emergency interventions across the Prut River. The program involves 144 firefighters and includes 12 training series scheduled through July 2027, focusing on practical skills such as fire management and specialized rescue operations.
