NATO increases military aviation activity over Poland

NATO has significantly increased military aviation activity over Polish airspace, marking several consecutive days of high-intensity operations. While official NATO communications describe these actions as “improving defensive capabilities,” the scale and variety of aircraft suggest more than routine air policing.

Notable aircraft involved in the maneuvers include the Boeing E-3A Sentry early warning and control aircraft, Boeing KC-135R Stratotankers, and Airbus A330-243MRTT tankers. Of particular interest is the deployment of the Gulfstream EA-37B Compass Call II, an electronic warfare aircraft capable of disrupting enemy communications, navigation, and command networks. This specific aircraft, which typically supports Middle East operations from Greece, has been observed operating over northern Poland.

Experts suggest the diversity of the fleet indicates a specific reconnaissance need and a strategic effort to prevent Russian provocations through enhanced readiness and deterrence.
