NATO instructors evaluate Ukrainian military training in Poland

NATO instructors, including Norwegian and American personnel, are training Ukrainian soldiers at Camp Jomsborg in the Podkarpacie region of Poland. The facility, which can accommodate up to 1,200 soldiers, is funded by Norway.

Brigadier General Atle Molde, who leads the training, praised the Ukrainian soldiers for their remarkable ability to improvise and adapt quickly to changing battlefield conditions. He noted that NATO forces could potentially learn from this capacity for improvisation under high-pressure situations.

However, instructors also identified significant gaps in conventional military knowledge. While the soldiers possess extensive combat experience, some lack fundamental skills, such as basic rifle marksmanship. Norwegian experts attributed the high level of creativity among Ukrainian troops to their use of less standardized procedures compared to NATO protocols.
