NATO prepares 4,000 pages of defense plans for eastern flank

At a NATO military leaders' meeting in Copenhagen, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, announced that the alliance has developed approximately 4,000 pages of military plans to defend its eastern flank. These plans are designed to address various scenarios, ranging from minor border incidents and hybrid threats to full-scale military escalations and the invocation of Article 5.

Dragone emphasized that NATO's personnel, systems, and equipment are ready to respond to provocations. He noted that while the alliance is accustomed to dealing with hybrid attacks, such actions are often intended to test unity and undermine trust among member states.

Separately, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported a recent incident near the Polish-Ukrainian border. A strike, believed to be a jet-powered drone, occurred approximately four kilometers from the Dorohusk-Jahodyn border crossing. While the impact caused a significant explosion near a target in Ukraine, Polish authorities stated that no violation of Polish airspace occurred, though fighter jets were deployed for patrolling duties.
