Naucalpan and Tecámac Show Dropping Crime Rates Following New Security Strategies
Municipal authorities in Naucalpan, a city in the State of Mexico, reported that the "Estrategia Seguridad con Todo" and the eastern operational strategy have cut overall crime and lowered residents' sense of insecurity. Patrol units rose from 160 to 420, vehicle theft fell about 61% (from nine to three daily incidents), and high‑impact crimes dropped 35.8% according to the national security secretariat. The municipality also launched a new Intelligent Security Center and installed over 280 local security networks that can respond within four minutes.
In Tecámac, mayor Rosi Wong attended the National Safe Cities Forum and the Expo Seguridad México in Mexico City. She highlighted the city's effort to adopt successful practices, new technologies and proximity‑based policing to improve crime prevention and public safety. Participation in the forum is part of Tecámac’s ongoing plan to strengthen local security institutions and community tranquility.
