NAV releases instructional video for new receipt data reporting

The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) has released a new instructional video to assist businesses in preparing for upcoming receipt data reporting requirements. Starting September 1, businesses must provide data to NAV for both manual and computer-generated receipts.

To facilitate this digital transition, NAV is promoting its free, cloud-based application, ePénztárgép. The new video provides a step-by-step guide on how to download and set up the application. The system allows for the quick issuance of electronic receipts and simplified invoices, which reduces administrative costs and the need for paper documentation. Additionally, the system's receipt archive fulfills document retention obligations by storing data for ten years.
