Naval School Ships Brasil and Sagres Open to Public in Brazil and the United States

The Brazilian Navy’s training vessel Navio‑Escola "Brasil" will host free public visits on 29 July at the Port of Salvador, allowing residents and tourists to tour the ship from 09:00 to 16:00 on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Portugal’s NRP Sagres completed a seven‑stop mission along the U.S. East Coast and the Bermuda islands, attracting a total of 59,479 visitors. The highest attendance was in Baltimore (21,741), followed by Boston (10,454) and New Bedford (10,203). The ship’s tours are promoted as a cultural showcase of Portugal’s maritime heritage and a bridge between Portuguese communities abroad and the host ports.
