Navarre approves 13 million euros for energy efficiency aid

The Government of Navarre has approved more than 13 million euros in aid to promote energy efficiency investments. The funding is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large industrial companies, and buildings within the tertiary sector.

Of the total amount, approximately 11 million euros will be directed toward energy efficiency improvements, with 9 million euros specifically earmarked for industrial companies. An additional 2 million euros will support efficiency upgrades in existing tertiary sector buildings. The funding is sourced from the National Energy Efficiency Fund (FNEE), which is supported by annual contributions from gas, electricity, and petroleum product operators.

The initiative addresses the significant energy consumption levels in these sectors, noting that industry accounts for roughly 25% of total energy consumption, while buildings account for approximately 30%. This program aligns with the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) 2023-2030.
